More and more research is coming out supporting the fact that virus droplets entering through eyes are most likely contributing to the virus spread. Experts suggest adding a face shield to your arsenal may be a way to go. Unlike face masks designed for single-use, such as surgical masks and N95 masks, plastic face shields can be washed down and reused indefinitely.
“With face shields, you can reuse them indefinitely and they’re easily cleaned with soap and water or other household disinfectants,” Krutika Kuppalli, an infectious diseases physician and vice chair of the IDSA Global Health Committee said.
